According to a recent report issued by the U.S. Commerce Department’s Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) and the U.S. Census Bureau, the number of minority-owned firms increased by 46 percent to 5.8 million between 2002 and 2007.

* Native American Owned Businesses - AVITA has worked for more than six years supporting Native American Owned Businesses in alignment with the Oregon Native American Enterprise Network. In 2010, AVITA was selected as a judge for the ONABEN Native American Innovation Business Plan Competition. In addition, AVITA's CEO co-authored "Indianpreneurship - A Native American business plan curriculum.
* Hispanic Owned Businesses - AVITA has worked for more than five years supporting Hispanic Owned Businesses in alignment with the Hispanic Metropolitan Chamber. From 2008-2010, AVITA worked in collaboration with the Hispanic Metropolitan Chamber to counsel and train businesses in Portland, Oregon
* African American Owned Businesses - AVITA has worked for more than five yeras supporting African American Owned Businesses. In 2010, AVITA was selected as a licensing speaker at the 2010 Black Inventors National Conference.
