Women Entrepreneurs

America's 9.1 million women-owned businesses employ 27.5 million people and contribute $3.6 trillion to the economy - yet women continue to face unique obstacles in the world of business.

The Center for Women’s Business Research 2004 study concluded that nearly half of all privately-held businesses in the U.S. are owned 50% or more by women. It is estimated that women-owned firms have grown at nearly twice the rate of all firms.

According to Fortune Magazine the top 3 reasons women choose to start a business:

1. To get control over their own schedule
2. Frustration with the “glass ceiling” at a big company
3. Saw a lucrative market niche and decided to fill it

When Faith Popcorn released her best seller book “EVEolution” on how to market to women, we took her knowledge to the “5th” degree so we could provide women entrepreneurs a sound vehicle for achieving success.

At AVITA we adhere to the following five women business principles:
1. We realize how important it is for women to connect with other women. As part of our goal we work with women-based organizations to help build and advocate on behalf of women entrepreneurs

2. Women lead multi-lives. Many of our clients started their business so they can have more time with their family. Our goal is to produce greater results with less time giving our clients more freedom in their lives.

3. Women are loyal buyers. Our goal is to clearly assess each business and provide value-added services even before she requests them.

4. Co-parenting is how we build each business venture. When we assess a business we assume that we are co-owner of that business and build the business with that intention. Our success is only an extension of the success our client’s experience.

5. Finally, we know that everything we convey does matter. We get to know each client and build a strong foundation of trust and honesty.
