Pre-Feasibility Assessment
We would need an Authorization for purchase (AFP) for 30 days
The initial assessment is provided for all new client referrals. This includes a phone meeting with the client to go over the process, an initial form for the client to complete, an initial form for the counselor to complete, preliminary research on the proposed idea and a recommendation on if the assessment should move towards feasibility. Depending on the case an interview with the counselor may be required. A one to two-page report is provided to the counselor with recommendations for next steps.
Feasibility Assessment
We would need an Authorization for purchase (AFP) for 90 days
The Feasibility Assessment is a comprehensive document incorporating all the requirements addressed in a given agency’s self-employment guidelines. It includes a thorough review of the client’s business, abilities, industry analysis, financials and recommendations. Our assessments have repeatedly been reviewed by various auditors and have always passed requirements. Assessments may result in a favorable feasibility determination, a non-favorable feasibility determination, or a feasibility assessment with specific conditions determination. The conditions must be subsequently met to achieve a favorable outcome. In most cases the conditions involve a beta-test to determine the probability of a specific business idea being successful. Prior beta-tests have included interviews, surveys, focus groups, and test cases. Average Complex Feasibility Assessment runs 10-20 pages in length including supporting research and documents.
Business Plan Review and Report
We would need an Authorization for purchase (AFP) for 90 days
When a Feasibility Assessment has been completed by our office and deemed Favorable, our agency can prepare a business plan in collaboration with the client. The business plan incorporates all the requirements of a standard business plan including a three-year financial projection for the business. It also includes a 12-month instructional marketing plan, drafted by the client, from examples and recommendations provided by the AVITA Team. Average plans take 30 days. Average reports are 20 pages in length including supporting research and documents.
Existing Business Evaluation
We would need an Authorization for purchase (AFP) for 30-60 days
This service relates to clients who have an existing business and have returned to the agency requesting additional products and services to further support their business. It includes an evaluation of the client’s current business, its systems and viability, review of the original business plan, review of financials, taxes and profit and loss statements, review and evaluation of the client’s request for support and related items and services and whether they fall into usual and customary parameters, and finally whether the client’s requests are considered covered in terms if the specific agency’s regulations.
Business Plan Consulting
We would need an Authorization for purchase (AFP) for 90 days
Our agency is also available for consulting hours on a case-by-case related to various needs specific to clients considering or involved in self-employment. Examples consulting at length with a client and counselor around a proposed business, marketing, expanding a client’s business through adding new products and services etc.
Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor Training
Our agency provides a comprehensive training program for counselors. Topics include the phases of the self-employment process, understanding the self-employment policies, working with clients through the start-up phase, supporting existing businesses and handling complex cases including supportive self-employment plans.
